Twenty-four litres — enough for a full day out with a shell and lunch, and no wasted space. It has a roll top instead of a lid, since a lid adds three hundred grams to keep rain off what a roll top already keeps rain off. The back panel uses closed-cell foam, not a mesh trampoline, so the pack lies flat when empty and holds its shape when only half full.

Materials
420D ripstop nylon, polyurethane coated. Every load point is bar-tacked. YKK hardware throughout. The base uses a heavier 630D fabric because that is the panel that wears through first on every pack anyone has ever owned.
Repair
We keep sliders, buckles, webbing and back panel foam for this pack indefinitely. Send it in with the serial number and we will quote before touching it. Most zip repairs come in under thirty dollars including return postage.
